The Manager, Mechanical Design will help lead a multidisciplinary team as part of a new product development cycle, which includes developing concepts and taking them from initial design and prototyping through commercialization. Reporting up to the Director of Engineering and Senior Leadership Team, the Manager will conduct research, plan and design mechanical systems, develop prototypes, and conduct tests across Enexor’s technology portfolio. Notably, the candidate should excel in working closely with fellow engineers, technicians and machinists to design and manufacture engineering components such as turbines, motors and heat exchangers, as well as auxiliary systems to support the overall architecture of various designs.
The ideal Candidate is mathematically and mechanically minded and has strong analytical and critical thinking abilities. Furthermore, this Candidate should possess detailed knowledge of engineering and design principles and have past proven successes in identifying and developing creative solutions to technical problems.
It should be noted that the Candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining 3D models, assemblies and fabrication drawings using 3D CAD packages.
Requirements
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
10 – 15+ year’s experience required.
At least 3+ years managing employees.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Expert level of proficiency in 3D CAD packages.
Inventor experience is a plus.
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Experience managing engineers, designers and delegating.
Proficient in detailed drawing checking process.
Candidates must be authorized to lawfully work in the United States.
Specific responsibilities include the following:
Assigning staff workload and monitoring progress.
Overseeing Budgets, Inventory, and Technical Teams.
Identify training needs for department personnel.
Participate in presentations, preparing proposals, and business development activities.
Provide regular feedback to department personnel on their performance.
Evaluate software needs for the department.
Perform some mechanical design but balanced with the managerial responsibilities.
