What you’ll do
As a Key Account Manager you’ll be responsible for building and growing the City Farming business in North America, working closely with the local Horticulture team in North America, the global Horticulture team in Eindhoven [NL] as well as local & global Horticulture LED partners
Help develop Philips’ City Farming proposition and ensure that this is effectively communicated to the local market
Generate sales by identifying and then assisting in the design of specific projects with assigned specifier clients or end users, continually develop and grow relationships with clients and to introduce and promote new Philips Lighting products to clients. In addition, also responsible for reporting of sales, forecasts, competitions actions and trends.
Build up a network of horticulture decision makers, influencers and partners leading to a healthy opportunity pipeline.
Responsible for account planning (forecasting and order-portfolio) and keeping the account profile up to date.
Your Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Plant Science, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of relevant horticultural industry experience in sales/customer relations management, or business development in the controlled growing environment sectors.
In depth knowledge of the vertical farming ecosystem
In-depth technical growing knowledge of crops in the climate-controlled growing industry (especially high-wire/leafy vegetables)
High problem-solving ability, and consultative selling experience. Capable to develop complex business cases and manage them to favorable conclusion.
Experience developing business and executing sales plans with strategies to get, grow, and keep relationships with targeted customers.
Ability to travel 50% for project visits & lead events

Salary: $100,000.00- $134,000.00
Bonus: Target of 30% SLS incentive
