The role is responsible for representing our Arize LED products to all stakeholders in the horticulture environment. This segment is one of our youngest and most dynamic, and we are looking to add a passionate individual who will help us build/grown this product line through sales.
Work with growers (greenhouses, vertical farms) to help promote Arize horticulture LED products by selling the product’s key differentiators and value generators
Work closely with GE Current’s distribution partners, resellers and OMEs to maximize product utilization. The customers operate in the Fruit and Vegetables, as well as the medicinal spaces. (Yes, that means cannabis. You gotta be OK with that.)
Work very closely with GE Current’s other national sales manager(s) to ensure sales, contribution margin and pipeline meet/exceed plan expectations.
Work very closely with GE Current’s technical team to help guide product development activities.
Develop relationship with leaders throughout business to ensure team is fully integrated in the entire GE Current business as appropriate.
Build strong relationships with key Horticulture partners and stay connected with industry trends and NPIs.
Attend industry focused events to keep Current visible and relevant to all industry participants, customers, distribution, etc.
Utilize effective communication within team and across functions to ensure positive team dynamics throughout Channel.
Create accountability for team members to ensure all are contributing toward success of team.
Knowledge of the Horticulture market, which means tht, if you are a plant nerd, we like you.
3-5 yrs of strong leadership experience for a Horticulture driven sales team
3-5 yrs of strong leadership experience for an LED driven sales team
Experience working with distribution partners and ensuring beneficial relationships
BA/BS/Assoc degree in Business, Horticulture or Marketing or related field from an accredited university or college
Ability to travel +/- 50% of the time based on needs of the business
Minimum of 5-7 yrs of successful sales experience
Fantastic organizational skills. We mean it. You need to use our digital tools to stay on top of everything.
Proven drive for sales excellence and growth
Excellent presentation, technical/computer, negotiation skills are a must. This team is very data driven so it is critical that you are good with IT.
Experience with strategic thinking around go to market strategy
This role is to be located on the East Coast of US preferably.
