Dean’s List for 5 semesters
As an undergraduate, I gained three years of experience conducting NIH-funded research, designing experiments, optimizing protocols, analyzing data, and presenting at conferences. Previously, I earned a two-year certificate in horticulture in conjunction with my high school diploma (2014). During this time, I began developing a hobby hydroponic system to grow lettuce and swiss chard in the winter with sole-source lighting. Over the past six years, I’ve successfully grown vegetables using a variety of nutrient solutions and light sources.
