Investigated the content of the digestive tract of three local species of isopods in Lower Saxony by extracting the DNA from their gut and amplifying taxonomically informative segments of fungal genomes using quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR).

Examined our datasets in RStudio to determine the statistical significance of our analyses and created tables and figures. Wrote a scientific report of the main findings and conclusions.

Studied the heritage of virus resistance in husk tomato (Physalis ixocarpa Brot. ex Horm.) in 20 accessions previously selected.

Evaluated genetic varieties of Husk Tomato and introduced three varieties in the central region of Mexico as gene donors for the obtention of high-productive varieties among smallholders.

Determined the type of resistance heritage against the five most important viruses in husk tomatoes in central Mexico.
