I recently graduated from Colorado College with a BA in Organismal Biology and Ecology. There, I experienced a variety of settings within biology, including animal sciences, microbiology, and botany. Ultimately, I became most interested in botany. I focused much of my effort on botanical research, going to Catalina State Park in Arizona to study Calliandra eriophyla, a desert shrub. It was only after I began working with the Squam Lakes Conservation Society as an AmeriCorps member that I realized I wanted to pursue botany in a different way. Now, I am searching for jobs that will encourage me to pursue my passion for horticulture and sustainable farming.
AmeriCorps member with the Squam Lakes Conservation Society, an organization that focuses on conservation land management to preserve the environmental integrity of the Squam Lakes watershed.
