Coordinated a successful startup of brand new 100,000sf. High Speed Packaging facility. Responsibilities include environmental, waste water treatment, plant automation systems, capital projects and utilities. Implemented new CMMS software (PMC2000) and spare parts inventories.

Managed $13M, 96,000sf expansion, including 2 high speed packaging lines and 2 new processing areas.  Other plant capital projects including $2M ingredient freezer, solids extraction system for waste water treatment, $3M boiler and utilities improvements and $6M bulk ingredient unloading system.

Responsible for starting up new marshmallow production facility, managing contractors and plant maintenance personnel and training of production associates.

Responsible for total maintenance (facilities, equipment) for a bulk dry mix plant employing 200 union associates supporting 8 packaging lines in a high speed 24/5 operation. Bulk packaging ranges from 5# to 100# finished goods.

Supervise 10+ maintenance associates (3 shifts)
Coordinated startup of 2 new production lines (50# and100#) this included line layout, installation, and training of technical personnel.
Updated PM programs using CMMS (MP2), reducing mechanical downtime by 3%
Implemented Area Maintenance mentality (established ownership in critical areas of the plant)
Set up in house training for maintenance staff (A/B PLC’s, Electrical Safety)
Coordinated startup of plant wide process controls system (Replaced outdated system with A/B ControlLogix System at a cost of $1.5 Million)
